Lisa and Ben chose to have a small and intimate ceremony with there close friends and family.
Lisa and her bridesmaids had their hair and make-up done at Lisa’s mum’s house, but chose to put their dresses on in the beautiful oval room at House for an Art lover. With its big bay window and cream walls all around, it is a photographers dream. We got some stunning images of Lisa here before the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we all headed out into the garden for some fun and family pictures. Then we took a little walk around the venue to get some beautiful portraits of the bride and groom.
Ben is a pianist and loves his classical music, so we thought we would finish our shoot with them by the piano. Ben played Lisa his first tune as her new husband and I stood back, snapped and enjoyed the moment.
After being away from weddings for almost 7 months this wedding was an absolute delight. Everything was perfect from start to finish and the pictures are out of this world!
Dalmeny Park used to be my favourite venue many years ago and now it has been taken over by the Rad group and given a new lease of life it is back up there with my favourites!
I just love to photograph a big bridal party as there is always lots of carry on and laughter. Plus I could happily spend the whole day photographing the bride and bridesmaids!
However theses amazing people were not put off and still wanted to get their photos outside, luckily though by the time we rallied round, got our brollies and headed for the doors, the sun burst through the clouds and gave us glorious spring sunshine.
It was typical Scottish weather with bursts of sunshine followed by down pours of rain! What an adventure they had though as on the way to their reception the wedding car broke down on the motorway!
However luck was certainly on their side as a good samaritan passing with another wedding car stopped to pick the couple up. As they arrived at The Lynhurst Hotel they brought the glorious sunshine with them for everyone to have fun and photographs in the beautiful gardens.
Some would say this is definitely a lucky in love wedding!
This is Angela and Alan who got married at Sacred Heart chapel in Bellshill and had their reception at The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel in Loch Lomond. I had been weather watching all week in the run up to the wedding as it was forecast for heavy rain and storms…eeek! However to everyone’s amazement we had a scorching sunny day. The whole day was filled with adventure.
We were attacked by wasps in Angela’s mums garden as we photographed Angela and her bridesmaids we dodged a yellow weather warning on the way to Loch Lomond and we had to walk several times through a path of beautiful lavender which hosted several hundred bees! (which Angela was a bit nervous about). When we arrived at The Loch Lomond Arms the bridal party all walked together to Luss Pier which allowed me to capture some natural and fun walking shots. We also took a stroll onto the famous Loch Lomond beach to get some photographs with the beautiful scenery in the background. All round this was such an amazing day and Angela and Alan have so many funny stories to tell!
