Lisa & Ben

Wedding photography at House for an Art Lover

Lisa and Ben got married late September at the stunning House for an Art Lover  the weather was perfect for such a beautiful venue.

They chose to have a small and intimate ceremony with there close friends and family.

Lisa and her bridesmaids had their hair and make-up done at Lisa’s mum’s house but chose to put their dresses on in the beautiful oval room at House for an Art lover. With its big bay window and cream walls all around, it is a photographers dream and we got some stunning images of Lisa here before the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we all headed out into the garden for some fun and family pictures. Then we took a little walk around the venue to get some beautiful portraits of the bride and groom.

Ben is a pianist and loves his classical music, so we thought we would finish our shoot with them by the piano. Ben played Lisa his first tune as her new husband and I stood back, snapped and enjoyed the moment.

After being away from weddings for almost 7 months this wedding was an absolute delight. Everything was perfect from start to finish and the pictures are out of this world!

Joanne & Paul

Wedding Photography at Dalmeny Park Hotel, Barrhead

Joanne and Paul got married at St Brides parish in Bothwell and their reception at The stunning Dalmeny Park Hotel.

Dalmeny Park used to be my favourite venue many years ago and now it has been taken over by the Rad group and given a new lease of life it is back up there with my favourites!

Joanne and Paul had such a beautiful day, the sun shone all day long. The lighting was incredible when we arrived at Dalmeny park, and it really is the perfect venue for outdoor pictures as their gardens are amazing.  I was snap happy with the bride and groom and also the bridal party.

Joanne and Paul were 2 lucky souls, perhaps the last couple to get married in a long time.  They just beat the Corona virus shut down by a matter of hours!  The wedding went ahead as planned and although there might not have been as many cuddles amongst guests, everyone was in high spirits and refused to let it spoil their fun.
I was very emotional towards the end as I knew it would be my last wedding for more than a few months, however what a spectacular wedding to finish with!

The pictures are truly stunning, and  I hope the happy couple continue to have all the luck in the world.

Lauren & Greig

Wedding Photography at The Radstone Hotel

Lauren and Greig got married recently at the stunning Radstone Hotel in Larkhall.  They had a beautiful big bridal party with 5 bridesmaids, 4 ushers and the best man.

I just love to photograph a big bridal party as there is always lots of carry on and laughter.  Plus I could happily spend the whole day photographing the bride and bridesmaids!

Everything ran smoothly until just after the ceremony when the clouds decided to open up and down pour!

However theses amazing people were not put off and still wanted to get their photos outside, luckily though by the time we rallied round, got our brollies and headed for the doors, the sun burst through the clouds and gave us glorious spring sunshine.

It was totally unexpected weather and warmed everyones spirits.
You could say it was a sensational sunny spring wedding!

Sharon & Marc

Wedding photography at The Corinthian Club, Glasgow

This was my last wedding of 2019 and is up there with my favourites!

It was the 22nd of December and a crisp cold winters day.  Sharon and her bridesmaids got ready in an apartment overlooking the hustle and bustle of the city.
The wedding took place in the stunning Corinthian Club, with it’s powerful architecture and being situated in the heart of Glasgow, it really is a wedding photographer’s dream! After the ceremony we all walked to Royal exchange square and had great fun taking the wedding pictures. There was also a very special guest appearance from Santa Clause later in the evening, which topped the night off and gave everyone some added Christmas cheer! Ending the year with a magical Christmas wedding.

Amanda & Ross

Wedding Photography at The Radstone Hotel, Larkhall.

Amanda and Ross chose the stunning Radstone hotel for their wedding in October

Amanda and the girls got ready in the hotel and switched to the honeymoon suite for some amazing pictures.  The girls had brought lots of champagne and balloons and really made the most of the bridal preparations.
I’m not going to lie, it was the end of October and a bit chilly but when your filled with the adrenline and joy of your wedding day…you just don’t feel it as much!
So the whole bridal party opted to stay outside for their photographs.  I have never laughed so much at a wedding, the bridesmaids and ushers were just full of fun and carry on, it was a delight to be part of.
The bride and groom enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the Clyde Valley and had glorious golden hour lighting for their bridal portraits on the little bridge.  Amanda looked sensational on the bridge at the sunset and I’m sure you will agree! A perfect end to the perfect day.

Elaine & Lisa

Wedding photography at The Western House Hotel, Ayr

Elaine and Lisa had the most beautiful fairytale wedding in The Western House Hotel in Ayr.

The girls looked absolutely stunning together in their dresses. They had a small and intimate ceremony with close family and friends and after the ceremony they wanted to pop down to the beach for their wedding photographs.
What a great time we had at the beach, the sun was shining and the brides were just fabulous against the blue sky sand and sea! They really had the most perfect and amazing day!
Two brides… double the work but double the fun!!

Li-Anne and Martin

Wedding photography at The Lynhurst Hotel, Renfrewshire

Meet Li-Anne & Martin. They got married at Bellshill Central church in Bellshill.

It was typical Scottish weather with bursts of sunshine followed by down pours of rain! What an adventure they had though as on the way to their reception the wedding car broke down on the motorway!

However luck was certainly on their side as a good samaritan passing with another wedding car stopped to pick the couple up. As they arrived at The Lynhurst Hotel they brought the glorious sunshine with them for everyone to have fun and photographs in the beautiful gardens.

Some would say this is definitely a lucky in love wedding!

Angela & Alan

Wedding Photography at The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel

It is always an honour to be asked by another wedding photographer to take her wedding pictures, but in honesty it also makes you a little nervous!

This is Angela and Alan who got married at Sacred Heart chapel in Bellshill and had their reception at The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel in Loch Lomond. I had been weather watching all week in the run up to the wedding as it was forecast for heavy rain and storms…eeek! However to everyone’s amazement we had a scorching sunny day. The whole day was filled with adventure.

We were attacked by wasps in Angela’s mums garden as we photographed Angela and her bridesmaids we dodged a yellow weather warning on the way to Loch Lomond and we had to walk several times through a path of beautiful lavender which hosted several hundred bees! (which Angela was a bit nervous about). When we arrived at The Loch Lomond Arms the bridal party all walked together to Luss Pier which allowed me to capture some natural and fun walking shots. We also took a stroll onto the famous Loch Lomond beach to get some photographs with the beautiful scenery in the background. All round this was such an amazing day and Angela and Alan have so many funny stories to tell!

Rachel and Gary

Wedding photography at Lochgreen House Hotel

Wedding Day Dreams

Rachel and Gary were the winners of my most recent ‘free wedding photography’ competition, somehow though I feel like I was the winner! They got married at the stunning Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon. It was Rachel’s dream to marry Gary outside on the lawn and on the day the sun shone brightly and all her wedding day dreams came true. After the ceremony we captured all their bridal party and family shots then jumped into my car and took a wee trip down to Troon beach. A hot sunny day, a stunning bride and groom and a picturesque beach, what more could a wedding photographer ask for? This really was a wedding day dream.

Samantha & Reece

Wedding photography at Ingliston Country Club

This is Sammy and Reece who are the sweetest couple you could meet!

It was double celebrations for the couple as Reece McFadden is a professional boxer who actually had a big fight the night before the wedding… yes the night before! You may remember the story on the news, thankfully he came out without a scratch and won the fight, so no photo-shop required to cover up bruises. They enjoyed a gorgeous day with family and friends in beautiful surroundings and I captured the two love birds in their essence. A stunning bride and a groom with no black eyes… I would call this a Champion wedding!

Lynn & Darren

Wedding photography at The Vu

I have known Lynn for many years so I was honoured to be asked to be her wedding photographer.

It was fun and laughter with the bridesmaids at her home for wedding preparations and with my cousin Katie Malin as Make-up artist it is always an added pleasure. I headed to The Vu in Bathgate to meet the Darren the groom for his pre-wedding shots with the boys. You can’t tell from the pictures but it was actually a very cold day…freezing infact!! Lynn and Darren were determined to have their wedding photography outside as it is such a beautiful location, so they both braved the icy wind and cuddled up to capture some amazingly dramatic shots on the jetty. A very windy but wonderful day!

Jane & Drew

Wedding Photography at Gleddoch House

Jane and Drew had a beautiful winter wedding at the stunning Gleddoch House Hotel.

Even though the day stayed dry, it was very cold. This super bride and groom were so relaxed that they preferred to stay outside for their wedding photos. If you can brave the cold for half an hour on your wedding day then you will have a lifetime of beautiful memories for your wedding album. You wont feel the cold when you look back on your album but you will have great stories to tell the grand children. Winter wedding bliss!
